| Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and the surrounding counties. |

![]() | This squadron offers at least 3 safe boating classes to the public every year. One | |
| class is offered in Battle Creek (in February or March) and two in Kalamazoo (in Mar or Apr). Additional classes may be offered as demand requires. These classes are free except for the text and materials. Check for current classes at ABC |
![]() | More in depth classes are offered to our membership. These include advanced | |
| courses in navigation, engine maintenance, sail, marine electronics, weather, etc.. |
![]() | In addition to educational opportunities we also have numerous social functions on | |
| and off the water, throughout the year. Membership also results in developing friendships which can result in assistance in many areas (not necessarily all related to boating) which end up saving money that otherwise might have to be spent for professional services. |
![]() | Substantial savings on insurance premiums are an additional benefit derived from | |
| taking the various courses available to members of the United States Power Squadrons. |
![]() | The United States Power Squadrons also provide additional public services, which | |
| assist in savings to the general tax paying public. These include updating geodetic survey markers information and providing information to assist in correcting charts for the boating community. |
![]() | Liaison is maintained with the United States Coast Guard, United States Coast | |
| Guard Auxiliary, Departments of Natural Resources of the various States and other organizations in order to cooperate (not compete) for the benefit of the public at large. |
