Boats and Brats a Great Success
|
Kalamazoo Sail and Power Squadron
KSPS, in a joint venture with the
South Bend Sail & Power Squadron
(SBSPS), hosts a Boats and Brats
event in South Haven at the Black
River Marina (Oak St.) once a
summer (usually June) from 10 to 3
We have 2 locations in South Haven
- the municipal ramp on Dunkley just
east of the draw bridge and at the
Black River Yacht Club (Oak St).
VSCs are free and provided owners
with information on equipment and
procedures that will make them, their
families and friends safer whether
docked or out-on-the-water.
Results are reported to the owner,
not to the Sheriff or Coast Guard.
It is up to the owner to take action to
make their boat safer.
At BRYC, about 50 people dine on
brats, sauerkraut and other traditional
picnic goodies. The focus of the day is
Vessel Safety Checks for members
and the boating public.
