Seminars are offered on a variety of topics presented in a short 2 to 4 hour format.
Check out the list of USPS short seminars covering specific topics of interest to boaters,
then contact our Squadron Educational Officer, Wally Corder and let him know you are
interested in a particular topic. When we have enough interest (5 or more students), we
will order the materials and schedule a seminar in the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek or South

GPS, chart reading, VHF radio usage (including the
Digital Selective Calling feature found on all new
radios), and on-board weather forecasting. One of
the newest seminars is Emergencies on Board
A student note book is included, along with a
waterproof guide or other items that are useful on
your boat. Seminars on other topics are now being
developed, and will be released in the near future.

material costs.
